India offers a variety of destinations that satisfy the needs of different types of holidaymakers so that the country has something for every Qatari citizen who enjoys traveling abroad.
Since the introduction of the Indian electronic visa in 2014, the procedure to obtain a permit to visit the country has become more efficient for over 160 eligible nationalities, including Indian Visa for Qatar Citizens.
Do Qatari Nationals Need a Visa for India?
Before traveling to the Southern Asian nation, Qatar citizens are required to apply for an Indian visa. Fortunately, the Indian eVisa made this procedure easier for those who wish to stay in India for short periods of time.
Depending on the purpose of their visit, it is possible to apply for the following electronic types of Indian visas:
- Tourist visa
- Business visa
- Medical visa and medical attendant visa for relatives accompanying the patient
The India tourist visa for Qataris, valid for 1 year, offers double entry and allows stays of 90 consecutive days for tourism purposes only.
The India business visa for Qatar citizens, which is also a double-entry visa valid for 1 year, enables applicants to stay up to 180 days at a time.
The India medical visa allows three entries during a shorter period for a total of 60 days starting from the date of entry.
Note: The application process is the same for all three categories. Applicants from Qatar must state their reason for travel and, depending on the type of visa required for their case, may need to submit different supporting documents.
Required Documents for Obtaining the India Visa for Qatari Travelers
Foreigners from Qatar must meet a series of Indian Visa for Ukranian Citizens in order to obtain permission to access the country.
When applying for any of the Indian eVisas, Qatari applicants must submit details regarding their return or onward travel ticket.
Qatari eBusiness travelers are required to provide a business card or letter. Moreover, they are asked details regarding their organization and the one(s) they are visiting.
Meanwhile, Qatari citizens applying for an eMedical visa must upload a letter from the Indian hospital or clinic where they will receive treatment.
The applicant’s Qatari passport must remain valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of arrival in India and have at least two blank pages for stamps.
Once approved, the eVisa will be sent via email, so visitors should double-check their email address is correct while filling out the online form. To be granted entry into India, Qatari foreigners must print a copy of their eVisa and keep it with them throughout their stay.
